Posting Messages

ONLY PAID SUBSCRIBERS AND CONTRIBUTERS CAN READ AND POST TO THE ARCHIVES

After you have a username and password to enter the memebers area, you will need to create a second level password if you would like to post messages and use all the advanced feaures of the board.  This is only OPTIONALIf you do not want to use the advanced features, simply post using NO password.

To create a second level for posting messages, click on the option called "Edit Account Profile" on the left part of the screen.

After creating a second-level password, follow these instructions for posting:

There are two ways in which a message can be posted. You can either post a new message by starting a new conversation or you can reply to a message in an existing conversation.

To start a new conversation by posting a message, simply go into the message area and click on the button called "Create New Conversation". A box will appear asking for the title of the new message to be entered. Enter the title of your message in this box. Immediately below the title box another box is displayed where you will be able to type your new message. After completing the message you will need to enter in a user name and password if you are a registered user on the system.. If you are not a registered user, simply enter an alias in the box where it asked for your "Username" and do NOT enter a password. (Note: Registered user here means you have a second-level password as explained above.   It does not mean you are a paying user.  If you are not a paying user, you cannot even see the messages in the first place.  To become a "Registered" user you must first be a paying user, and then make a second level password here.  But, again, this is totally optional.  If you chose not to register, you can still post by simply entering in a username and NO password.)

After entering in either your account name or an alias, choose the "post" option.  This will allow you to preview your message before it goes online.  If you like it you, choose "post" again to place it on the server.  If you don't like it, you have the options to either cancel or edit it before deciding to post.

To reply to a message that is already posted, simply select to read the message and then add your comments in the box that appears immediately below the message. Again, if you have a registered account, enter your name and password where asked, otherwise enter in an alias with no password same as explained above for creating a new conversation.   Finally, select "post" to preview your message, and then either "post" again to publish it, "cancel" to erase it or "revise" to edit it.
